Jesus was a Jew  who went up to Jerusalem for the great religious feasts of his people and on Sabbath regularly attended the synagogue. He declared that he had not come to destroy but fulfill
the Jewish law and the mission of the Hebrew prophets.If we would understand Jesus , we must understand the religion in which reared , and if if we would understand Christianity , we  must begin with Judaism, for the one religion  is   the daughter of the other.¨
